15-21 December 1944

Overview

Attacks on German targets continued this week with missions to Luwigshaven, Bonn and Ulm. Ulm was an ancient city that had not been attacked before but was the location of 2 large lorry factories and other industrial and military locations. Over 80% of the city was damaged, more than 600 people were killed and 20,000-25,000 made homeless.

One aircraft and all its crew were lost this week.
